As co-founder and CTO, Kevin Woolery is responsible for technical vision and the implementation and maintenance of the Jetpack platform.
An avid technologist and entrepreneur, Kevin began writing code at age nine and his software has since contributed to several high-profile entertainment, infrastructure and publishing systems. He began his career in computer switch maintenance for the U.S. Air Force and soon went on to create a virtual reality racing simulation as a network engineer at Illusion, Inc. and later would help transform the legacy software systems of the Screen Actors Guild as a senior software engineer. An early member of the technical team at Sandpiper Networks, Kevin contributed to the creation of the world’s first Content Delivery Network and led several teams responsible for programming data infrastructure on the Amp'd Mobile network. Prior to Jetpack, Kevin was co-founder and chief architect at BUZZMEDIA, where he created products that became Web 2.0 standards and transformed a single social media site into a large network of managed content and advertising experiences.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys running and he recently completed his third marathon. He has a lifelong love of reading and learning, with a wide range of interests including physics, electronics, computer vision, robotics, biology and literature. He loves to travel and has been known to dabble in stand-up comedy. He has two children, Courtney and Kyle, and current lives in Marina del Rey, Calif., with his wife, Heidi, and their dachshund-Chihuahua, Lola. Still on his bucket list: running the Boston Marathon and completing a 50-mile ultra-marathon.
Kevin holds an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Moorpark College.
As co-founder and head of business development and operations, Chris Tragos is in charge of identifying and on-boarding new clients to the Jetpack platform and overseeing the management of the business including legal, finance, accounting and human resources.
Chris began his start-up career by co-founding TROON a pioneering online ad agency which produced the first sponsored Internet film festival featuring master animators from all around the world who brought to life Absolut Vodka’s iconic bottle. His next start-up ESSENTIAL ENTERTAINMENT was an early player in online branded content working with established marketers such as Coca Cola to sponsor a video series called 'What's your 20' following the behind the scenes life of cast and crew making movies. Chris then joined BUZZNET as the first senior management hire primarily responsible for integrated marketing and sales operations.
Chris lives in Pacific Palisades, Calif., with his wife Tracy, his children Charlotte and Penelope, and their two Chihuahuas Birdie and Sparky. Chris also enjoys changing the world during his time off by producing documentaries with his wife, a filmmaker best known for Emmy award winner 'Be Good, Smile Pretty' and Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner 'Rich Hill.'
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Marc Brown leads product development and account management for Jetpack. In addition to overseeing the account management team, his responsibilities include improving usability and analytics for the platform and creating new products that push the limits of brand advertising while minimizing negative impact on user experience.
Marc was a founder of BUZZMEDIA (now Spin Media), which evolved from Buzznet - a photo sharing site he helped create in 2003. Earlier in his career, Marc worked as a creative and product lead at several Internet agencies, bringing products such as Absolut Vodka, Pepsi Blue and the X-Men movie franchise to the web for the first time.
Marc's hobbies include collecting fluorescent minerals, crafting wood furniture, scuba diving, hiking, Muay Thai and cycling. He lives with his wife, Azalea, in Northeast Los Angeles, along with seven chickens, four cats and a Mexican hairless dog named Frida.
Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Frida is a Mexican Hairless dog. She comes to the office to nap in the sun and guard the front door.
The Mexican Hairless, a.k.a. Xoloitzcuintli (“sho-low-eets-queen-tlee”) is the oldest dog breed in North America. The hairlessness comes from a spontaneous natural mutation that happened over 2000 years ago. The breed was revered as a sacred healing dog of the Aztecs, Toletcs, and Maya.
Frida was named after the famous artist Frida Kahlo who also owned and painted this ancient breed of dog.
